A logical and automatic construction of pictures is introduced in Mohr's Early Algorithms work phase (1969-1973). It is during this period that the artist first used algorithms to produce images. Mohr's consequent thinking is rendered visible through self-authored computer programs. With a choice of different line characteristics, an alphabet of arbitrary generated elements is created. The algorithms are built from imposed as well as random selection principles that Mohr calls "aesthetical-filters".
