Non-Fungible Castle 2022 explores how blockchain technology can be used to rediscover, share, and preserve our cultural identities. The exhibition created and exhibited NFTs to represent different artistic forms of expression, serving as a permanent cultural record and fostered a platform to discuss how the art world can use blockchain technology to celebrate our heritage, build a community of cultural stewards, and encourage storytelling to reconnect with our cultural roots.
Vodník is a oil and acrylic painting done on glass by Jeremiah Palecek with an NFT video and musical component created by Sam Gittis for the 2022 NFCastles event in Prague, Czech Republic. The NFT sale includes the physical piece in a framed enclosure and comes with led lights which glow in various colors. The lights were not turned on for the NFCastle exhibition as the piece also stands on its own as a painting. This work was created in reaction to Josef Lada's piece of the same title and was exhibited alongside it at the exhibition. 50% of the proceeds of the sale will go the ongoing project to restore the birth home of Czech composer Antonín Dvořák
