Samantha Cavet is a photographer born in Caracas, Venezuela. She left Venezuela in 2015 and moved to Madrid, Spain to study and grow in a new environment with better opportunities.
Samantha grew up traveling and has always been fascinated by landscapes and photography. In 2020, she began to take a more serious approach to her personal photography work. Her work focuses on portraying human emotions like nostalgia, melancholy, and calmness. She also adds her personal touch to dreamy pictorial landscapes and pays homage to Impressionist paintings. Samantha states that her work is highly influenced by paintings, music, films and poetry. She continues to experiment with colors, concepts and image editing that furthers her practice and seeks to create scenes that are visually appealing, satisfying, and almost ethereal.
Next Wave: The New York Edit showcases a curated group of artists at the forefront of digital art today. Working with a diverse range of mediums, spanning generative art and AI generated photography to on-chain art and digital abstract expressionism, each artist has crafted a signature style that is widely recognized in the digital art space.
