A showcase of digital art on the blockchain with interactive VR elements and artists present to discuss their works. Digital art has been difficult for artists to sell for decades until it became possible to mint works on the blockchain, commonly known as NFTs - but not the collectibles that most people think of - real fine art, animation, or motion graphics that were never possible to sell in a gallery on a canvas. Blockchain art has opened up a whole new medium for performance artists, generative artists, process artists, animation artists, and motion graphics designers to be able to express themselves and connect with art collectors. Works displayed will be a curated selection of works from the McQuillen Collection, and submissions from local, regional, and international artists. Some works are presented in VR with headsets available for viewing. Genres represented will include generative art, performance art, process art, glitch art, 3D art, motion graphics, and other kinetic works that represent the genres that have been empowered by the blockchain.
