The American Gray wolf was last sighted in California in the early 1900s, but the multiscalar environmental shifts brought on by a heating planet are drawing wolf packs down from the Pacific Northwest in recent years. A Wolf in LA casts a vision of a desertified DTLA region, in which the animals can be seen roaming free across abandoned freeways, like ghosts of a haunted cityscape.
